An epic story is embarked upon by an equally epic cast in the much-anticipated adaptation of William Boyd’s best-selling novel, Any Human Heart. The four-part drama is led by Oscar winner Jim Broadbent (Iris, Longford), Matthew Macfadyen (Frost/Nixon, Criminal Justice), and Sam Claflin, who all take on the role of writer Logan Mountstuart at different stages of his ordinary and yet extraordinary life. A life which spans every decade of the twentieth century.
From the idealism and naivety of Logan’s student years at Oxford, to love and heartache, the birth of his first child, scandal in the New York art scene in the ‘50s and ‘60s, to the horrors of war; Logan’s life and loves intertwine with a myriad of historical events and figures, including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Ernest Hemingway and Ian Fleming, to produce an exceptional portrait seen through the eyes of one man.
